General Description: Scandic hamar is an hour?S drive from oslo gardermoen airport. Hamar is known for its 1994 winter olympic arenas. Our kind hotel is in a central but quiet area, only 10 minutes? Walk from the city centre, and is one of the largest, most flexible conference centers in norway. To sleep well you need peace and a comfortable bed. We have both. The rooms are quite large, with good working conditions and standard equipment such as a minibar, tv, hairdryer and trouser press. The rooms are generally double rooms. several of the rooms are newly refurbished to scandic environmental room standards, with contemporary textiles and wooden floors.We can accommodate most types and sizes of event, which we will also help you plan and run on the day. Scandic hamar is one of the larger conference hotels in norway, less than an hour from oslo international airport gardermoen. We have conference facilities to suit groups of 10-1150 people. Rebuilt in 2001, the meeting facilities can be used for almost any occasion, with a capacity of 1150 and the latest audiovisual equipment. There is parking for over 500 cars outside the hotel, which is popular with business travelers for its easy access, cozy atmosphere and quiet surroundings. Our restaurant, båsen, serves all kinds of meals, from plain one-course light dishes to more complicated meals. We also offer banquets and catering. Next to the restaurant is the sluffa bar, where you can relax with friends and have a drink after your meal, read a book or watch tv. Nearby are museums, the vikingskipet arena, the ankerskogen swimming pool, golf courses, skiing facilities and much more.This well located hotel is of a high standard and comes highly recommended.
